From DAVIDsTEA

Berry good

A few months ago, David tried a fruity dessert tea that knocked his socks off. It was subtle and refined, delicately floral and slightly sweet. He was intrigued. He had to have it. But what was the secret ingredient? Cranberries. Normally associated with a neon red holiday sauce, these beautiful berries really sing when paired with rich, floral black tea. Here we blend them with big pieces of pear and apple for the fruit and black tea blend you won’t believe you ever went without.

Ingredients: Cranberry, black tea, pear, apple, artificial flavouring*.

Price per 50g: $7.50

I liked this tea. Not love. Liked. I got this and the Merry Cranberry at the same time not sure which one would end up winning out but I think I have to give this victory to the Cranberry pair. I didn’t find it quite as fickle or heavy as the other. Still only one brew before I had to change the tea though which is always frustrating.

I tried this tea iced at my Davidstea store and it was very good. The fruit flavours aren’t very strong but the black tea base is tasty.

Got this out of the sweet indulgences set. Immediately I am surprised by the amount of fruit packed into this tiny tin. The fruit looks like cranberry and apple pieces, but I’m sure at least some of these are pear bits.

Smells really fruity and distinctly like apples and pears. The flavor of the actual black tea isn’t super noticeable, and it’s not tart. It’s more of an apple/pear taste with a hint of cranberry.

While it was nice to try this, I don’t think this is a tea that would make it into my regular rotation.

I had been avoiding David’s Tea for awhile because of how flat broke I was. So a couple weeks ago I finally went with like 6 tins that needed to be refilled. Of course I can’t leave that shop without a new tin of SOMETHING, and one of my favourite girls there Janessa suggested. It smelled so sweet and lovely that I got a tin then and there XD. Doesn’t help that I’m a black tea kinda gal and of my 70 teas from David’s I have almost all the black XD. It’s delicious, and not overpowering at all. I had it for breakfast this morning with waffles and it was the perfect pair (hehe pair XD) for waffles with whipped cream. Definitely a tea I’d recommend anyone.

I like cranberries. Pears are fine too. But somehow this tea just doesn’t do anything for me and I’m left a little disappointed, especially when those two flavors have a ton of potential to be amazing.
I guess I was expecting more of a tartness to it, rather than the odd cooked fruit taste I got from it… ended up just drinking it to wash down my yummy chocolate chip muffins this morning.
Starting to clear out the rest of my DT samples from the “Sweet Indulgence” sample collection to make room for the order coming in sometime this week or next (eeeee!). This tea was alright, but definitely not one of the favorites from that box.

When I first tried cranberry pear it was right around christmas time. I still find this tea reminds me of the holiday season anytime I drink it.

It’s a black tea, but there is a high fruit to tea ratio so that’s not the main flavour of the tea. It is honestly a perfect blend of pear, cranberry and a hint of apple. The cranberry is not too tart or overwhelming so you can still taste the delicate pear. It almost combines to its own flavour, cranberry-pear. It’s a very light, delicate tea, and has a wonderful aroma that is an accurate preview of the taste.

Very nice as hot or iced. I expected this to be bland because typically pear is a fine flavour but was very impressed.

Not bad. Smells amazing in the can, very fruity. Mellows in the cup so the fruit taste isn’t overwhelming, but overall not one I’d buy again.

YUM!! I knew I had to get this tea when I read the description! I have few teas with pear and none with cranberry so I thought it was worth a shot. My only thought is that there is not much black tea. I considered adding a scoop, but just went with it, maybe it is in the bottom of the bag. Anyway, I really like this blend!
