Third and final tea from the Tea Espresso line up…

As with the others, I tried this using the Espresso Machine/Latte method. I think with the other two, it’s pretty easy to see which teas from the Core Tea line up the espressos were inspired by (Cream of Earl Grey and Cinnamon Rooibos Chai), but with this one I don’t think it’s nearly as obvious. I’d personally say a mix of Cardamom French Toast and S’mores Chai, maybe?

I found this the most underwhelming of the three; the flavour is just super light/mild and even if we’re ignoring the expectation that I think a lot of people would have for these espressos being a very bold/strong flavour I still think that the strength of this one wouldn’t fly even by normal latte standards. Now, that said, it does taste exactly like what it’s named after – a light cocoa and cinnamon sugar kind of vibe that could EASILY be a spread on toast. Very brioche-like to me, as well. So points for accuracy, I guess.

Like I said with my first review of the Tea Espresso collection, though, I am also CLEARLY not the target demographic here and if I didn’t have the easy ability to try these teas at work I would have NEVER been inclined to purchase/try any of them. So take what I say with a grain of salt…

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts regarding the teas, and not the company’s.
