Another one that smells intensely of honey. I seem to be on a kick with honey-flavored teas today. I’ve never had straight mate before, only blends, so this is probably the purest one I’ve tried.

It doesn’t taste all that much like ginger, just honey. The mate underneath is nice and a little spicy. The honey in this is actually a little overwhelming, but I’ll drink up the sample at least.

There is a company called Ceylon Tea Bush that sells a Honey Rooibos that tastes like liquefied honey. It is delicious.

Ooh! Onto my shopping list it goes.

They sell it at a bakery near my house so I plan on picking some up when I go back home in April.

got this for my boyfriend. him and my good gal pal are both big mate fans.
i’m kinda meh about them. i mean sure i like them just fine. but if i have a choice i’m always gonna go towards the damp tannins of a black tea.
but yes! this is yummy! and i will be popular and loved for giving this to my friends!
win win!

Once this brewed up, this smelled like Honeybee from Davids, but taste…no. Ugh no. It tastes like honeyed black licorice. It was a coldbrew I will not be repeating and the wifey has a bunch of swap packages going out, so hopefully this can be dropped into one of those.
