If you enjoy Lemon or Lime Chiffon then you should try this blend, it combines the best of both worlds and tosses in some extra cream for good measure. I haven’t tried it hot, but it makes an excellent iced tea. While I recently have had a run of disappointing teas from Della Terra, this definitely isn’t one of them. In fact, when I’m off my tea buying hiatus I’d like to buy samples of all three teas again, try them side by side, and keep one if them in my cupboard on a permanent basis. Without comparing these side by side I’m just not sure which one I like the best.

Another from Della Terra I’m just now trying! I don’t see much a of a difference here in either the lime chiffon or lemon chiffon. Just citrusy sweet goodness. But I’d say those two are slightly better. It’s hard to tell without trying all three at once though. My blend looks like it has more rooibos than the picture here does, so maybe that made a difference. I don’t think getting all three is necessary but I like having options and I liked trying all three. ONE of these is certainly necessary in the tea collection though!

Decided to try a cup of this today, not sure why I ordered it since it contains dairy and I am not a fan but here we go anyway.

Something about this smells a bit odd after it’s steeping, like a sour dirty yogurt. I’ve had this complaint about rooibos blends before so it isn’t terribly new. I’m getting a lot of lime in the flavor and maybe a bit of lemon. there’s nothing about this that really reminds me of a tart, however. The flavor was much improved after adding some stevia and soymilk but this really isn’t one of my favorites from Della Terra. I much preferred the lemon chiffon for some reason.

Happy to swap if anyone wants to try it.

I’ve had this little sample sitting in my swap drawer for ages. Rooibos just scares me. But I’m determined to get my stash under control so time to face my rooibos fear.

This is okay. The initial flavor is nice, but the after taste still gets me. I’m cool never drinking it again.

Pretty sure I got this from the long lost, yet hilarious, Whatshesaid. Thanks for the taste and hope she gets over her teapression soon enough!

I can taste both lime, lemon, and cream here. That is pretty awesome. I definitely thought the lime and lemon would become one and be either lime OR lemon.

This is again so similar to Lemon and Lime Chiffon. Delicious! I actually think I need to make all three, line them up, and take a sip from each one right after each other to determine which will get to stay in my cupboard. Gah.

Update March 25/13: I’m sure some caffeine would do me good this morning but this one just smells so delectable I couldn’t resist. Maybe I won’t choose between the three and just keep them all on hand, all the time. That wouldn’t be so bad, right?

Ozli sent me this as a surprise tea package! Surprise tea packages are sort of the best, even if it knocked my tea count up to 115 (after a few silent sipdowns). :P

I only had a sample of this one so I was really happy to get more. OH MAN. This is so great. I’m not sure if I like this more than the lime one, but with DTT’s constant sales I don’t know that I should ever have to choose.

Hahaha! Good point. Next time I’m definitely getting the lime. These citrus creams are such good evening teas. :D

Sipdown-

finished this one off as an iced tea on Saturday. It was good, but not something I feel the need to restock.
Pretty sure I had this hot as well, but I don’t see a note on it. oops.
It’s definitely citrusy & a bit creamy.

Ending what has been a very long day with this tea. No matter what I do I can’t seem to get caught up with my school work. Since there’s only 3 1/2 weeks left of classes, I’m just going to assume that it’s not slowing down and I just need to speed up and somehow get more studying done. Blah. With the sunny weather outside I just want to sit in the sunshine and sip tea.

The dry leaves for this Lemon Lime Cream Tart smell of creamy lemon and lime. I was surprised a the creaminess just from the aroma, it’s almost a little sour/tart too, probably from the citrus notes. The tea itself has a sweet and tart lemon lime aroma. There’s a sweet, citrusy flavor with a tart lemony finish. I am definitely tasting more of the lemon than lime in the flavor, but I think the tartness is from the lime. There is a pretty strong rooibos and honeybush aftertaste with a hint of tart citrus that I’m not crazy about. Adding milk and sweetener does tone down the rooibos aftertaste, but it is still there. I wish this had just a tiny bit more cream added into the flavor. I am excited to compare this to the Lime Chiffon that just came in my order. Thank you, whatshesaid for this sample!!

-Dry blend has fine rooibos and honeybush with long pieces of lemongrass, pieces of dried fruit peel and small blue petals.
-Dry leaves smell like creamy lemon and lime. Tea liquor aroma is of sweet and tart lemon and lime.
-Tea liquor is a clear medium reddish orange color.
-Sweet citrusy flavor with a tart lemony finish. Strong rooibos and honeybush aftertaste with a hint of tart citrus.
-Best with milk and sweetener.
-Very good tea. A creamy, tart and citrusy cup. Becomes smooth and mellow with milk and sweetener. Small rooibos and honeybush aftertaste.

I’d been curious about Della Terra’s various citrus cream rooibos blends for a while, so I was very grateful when Kaylee offered to bring a sample of this one to share at the NYC meetup yesterday. This does live up to the hype! The rooibos is smooth and creamy, and that tobacco flavor I often get is completely absent. I’m not sure what the rooibos/honeybush ratio is here, so it could be that the honeybush is smoothing things out. The lemon and lime flavorings are faint but pleasant – the lime comes through more strongly of the two, I think. This is one of the nicest rooibos (or honeybush) blends I’ve had, and it’s something I can see myself drinking in the evenings on a regular basis. Thanks for letting me try this one, Kaylee! I really enjoyed it, and I definitely want to try the straight lemon and lime varieties now!

At the end of the day, I wish I would have gotten the Lemon Chiffon instead because I find lime in teas is just a bit too tart for me! That said, this is delicious. Tart but tasty, balances off the rooibos well.

If anyone wants to swap this for some Lemon Chiffon, let me know! :)
