From Destination

Prestigieux, complexe, intense.

Partez à la rencontre du " So british "…

First thing I drank out of the fantastic care package cteresa sent me! It was a while ago, but I’ve been having a hard time writing tasting notes, so for the moment, have mostly concentrated on not wrecking any of the lovely teas by my left-handed awkward brewing.

This, yes, I drank it first day, and it was one of those “Ooooh, good tea. Good tea. good tea. Wait, it’s GONE?!?” kind of drinkings. Not so much with the descriptions. However, I have to agree that it’s a lovely Ceylon tea, and also that, amazingly, brewing it a little on the weak side (as I didn’t read the note about the amount of tea per bag in time) didn’t do anything to spoil it. I like my black breakfast type teas very strong, too. It was a little weak, but not at all thin tasting or weak on flavour, which is impressive. I have drunk many loose leaf teas that aren’t half as nice, so was well pleased with this teabag hit! Thanks again, Teresa!

I should drink this more often (OTOH not sure I can restock it, so dunno…). I end saving these individuals foil bags to drink away from home but end up never doing it!

This brand is a bio french brand, very health store stuff. Their regular line I never had, but their pricier “premium” line is pretty nice I think!

Oh, that’s interesting about what kind of tea it is, and where it’s sold. I’ll keep an eye out for some of the other health food shops around the place – it’s not in our local. Definitely nice!

Moderately expensive (4 euros for 15 teabags), not quite as expensive as some teas, but a bit more expensive than regular stuff. But oh so nice. Tea-bags are individually packaged in foil envelopes, which I think helps to keep the flavour fresh. I do think this tea bags are filled a smidgeon less than the british norm, I just brew a slightly smaller cup.

A very very good simple Ceylon tea but then I think Ceylon might just be my favorite tea origin for breakfast blends. I am probably not the only one because this seems to be the bestseller at the store I bought it.

Brews very red, and full bodied but in a delicate way.
