Today( 6/14/2016) I tasted ShanLinXi, HeHuanShan, and this new Lishan Oolong. I have to admit I am lost in finding exact tasting words to describe them.
I am liking what I tasted so far! This Lishan compared to the other two, it’s more delicate and full of complexity. It’s a tea that you might find yourself calling it a good tea. What it really stands out right now is its strong and beautiful aftertaste. I will update some detail tasting notes soon.
Tasting notes update on 6/28/2016: The dry leaves of this spring Lishan has a sweet fruit smell. Its rinsed leaves are beautiful, mixed with fruit and citrus notes. What I like about this Lishan is its extremely smooth and buttery mouth feel, which shows up right from the first infusion, and it has a great long lingering aftertaste. By the third infusion, the flavor really opens up and it turns into one of the most beautiful High Mountain Oolongs. This Lishan Oolong might be the most buttery one among our Spring High Mountain Oolong lineup. And I have to mention one more time of its great aftertaste. I love this Lishan!
