From Frontier Natural Products Co-op

Frontier Co-op® bulk organic dried elderberries are attractive dark purple berries grown in their native Bulgaria. These appealing dark berries are part of the honeysuckle family and are commonly used as a wellness tea or as an ingredient in culinary dishes.

Dried elderberries deliver flexible options for many culinary needs and the flavor of elderberry develops most when mixed in foods or drinks. They are used in sweet syrups and desserts, and they provide a pleasant, fruity aroma. Elderberries are also perfect to be paired with other fruits, as their earthy undertones are emphasized when used in jams and jellies. This dark, purple berry also complements teas and warming winter cordials.

Since we had a very, very people-y weekend, and since I have some very people-y events ahead, I’m taking some precautionary measures and this is a pleasant one. These little purple babies took a bath for a long eight minute steep, and since I think they have a very dark fruity flavor like raisins or tangy dates, I attempted to brighten the cup by tossing in a dried orange slice. Very pleasant. Kind of fruit-cakey.

Rosehips

Good luck with all the people-y things! I’m in the thick of a very people-y week, and so I appreciate the moments of stillness with my tea.
