Kratom is a tropical tree which grows in south east Asia mainly in Thailand and Indonesia and is apart of the coffee family. The leaves are dried and crushed to make powder for tea. It has a fairly bitter taste but that can be reduced by brewing it with chamomile or green tea and a adding a moderate amount of choice sweetener. In low doses it has been known to help with fatigue, mild depression and diarrhea. In higher does its been known help with mild to moderate pain, insomnia, diarrhea, mild anxiety, and opiate withdrawal. Nausea is a common side effect but taking ginger or Gravol 15-30mins before hand completely eliminates this side effect.
