From Harney & Sons

An exotic combination of green teas, coconut, ginger, vanilla and lemongrass which make a delicious and distinctive tea blend that is both smooth and spicy. This tea is the same as the Harney & Sons blend “Bangkok”.

I really cannot add anything that has not already been said. The lovely color, aroma, and taste transports me to an exotic part of the world and makes me crave a delicious Larb salad, crispy fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce, or anything with basil.

I was really nervous when I decided to try this today at Barnes & Noble. I’m very sensitive to ginger, especially in tea, and I was worried a cup of this would give me nightmarish heartburn. I’m happy to report that this was not the case. :) Its got a little bit of the ginger zing, but not too much, and it’s backed up by the sweetness of the coconut and vanilla and the flavor of the tea itself. It’s especially good for a bagged tea, as well.

A fun tea, and a portable way to have the flavors of a Thai chai blend I enjoy. Exactly the right balance of coconut, ginger, and vanilla. This is a happy, playful, afternoon-pick-me-up tea. I got a nice first steep, but the water may have been hotter than the recommended temp, because the second steep was nothing much.

This is in tea sachets but I cut them open and dropped the tea into an infuser and left in the fridge overnight. Works nicely as a cold steep. Mild but flavorful with the coconut coming through – I like coconut so this is a good thing. I’ll definitely cold brew again for a nice afternoon tea.

Love it! It’s excellent iced. Make sure you’re using the right temperature of water. This tea definitely gets bitter if the water is too hot, much more so than a lot of green teas.

This is my staple when I’m browsing Barnes & Noble … I was heartbroken when they stopped carrying the line that included Chinese Flower, but now I did.

I love the coconut in this, and the lemongrass gives it a little bit of a lime flavor to go with the ginger, actually.

Delicious soft flavor and the aroma is excellent. I’m not normally a fan of coconut or ginger but in this mixture it’s delicious.

A light tea with lots of delicate notes, it’s pleasantly smooth and buttery – not grassy at all. There are subtle hints of coconut here and there and a light spice on the midsection of the tongue when drinking. Just wish the taste could be as strong as the aroma

I love this tea. Delicate green flavor complimented with coconut and accented with ginger, it’s a very full-mouth flavor (not puckery at all); the ginger keeps the flavor feeling fresh and alive.

Our favorite Thai restaurant was unexpectedly closed yesterday, so I had my Thai in a cup instead (thank you, Lexie Aleah)!

This has been on my “really want to try it, but never got around to it” list for at least a decade. The coconut and vanilla were fresh and sweet; the green tea and lemongrass grounded everything nicely so it didn’t taste like sticky pudding. Very, very, very nice.

No false flavours?

gmathis

No, nothing struck me as artificial or chemically.

Evol Ving Ness

That’s promising. Thank you.

Lexie Aleah

I love this one! It’s pretty unique in terms of flavor.

Evol~ I think this one would be worth trying if you enjoy these flavors.

Crowkettle

This one sounds delicious :)

I have not had this one in years. I don’t even remember whether I liked it. Back then I had not tried lemongrass much and this would have been a really exotic combination to me.

Evol Ving Ness

Thank you! I’ve put it on my list.
