From Harney & Sons

Deliciously silky and full of complex flavors, our Pomegranate Oolong tea blends large Ti Quan Yin leaves—also known as Iron Goddess of Mercy—with the tangy, sparkling flavor of pomegranate. The result is a luscious and fruit-forward brew with a toasty aroma and ample flavors of bright pomegranate. Brew hot to enjoy its smooth, silky texture and sweet aroma at its finest.

Ingredients: Oolong tea, pomegranate flavor. Contains natural flavors.

This tea comes in bags, so I cannot describe the aroma of the laves because I feel that I am mostly smelling packaging, however, when brewed it smells a little like medicine (I think Dimeatap, but I can’t be sure).

This doesn’t bother me, so I drink it willingly. I must say that a little sugar goes a long way in this tea. Overall, worth a shot.

My sample came loose, so I think you can order it as a loose tea. [However, if you’re picking it up in the store you’re obviously restricted to what they’ve got.]

I can definitely see sugar helping this out. I might need to give that a go with my last bit of this.

Thanks to Peppermintplant for giving me some of this! I found the scent very pleasant out of the tin and after it was steeped. It probably could use a bit of honey but it really was a nice tea. The pomegranate was really strong, but in a good way.

Have you tried it iced yet? :)

No, not yet. I would love to, but I left it at work. I guess I need two tins.

Blergh! Definitely not for me. I love pomegranate, but this just tasted like cough syrup!

My least favorite Harney & Sons tea I’ve had this far, which saddens me because it sounded so promising. Making iced tea as we speak to see if it’s any more promising. Will update later. In the meantime if anyone is dying to try this let me know, i’ll send along a teabag!

We were apprehensive to this tea at first, the smell is overwhelmingly fruity and sweet- but fear not, this tea is totally perfect!

This tea is light and refreshing- take a little longer to steep but is perfect when you’re looking for a tea to lift you up rather than slow you down. The Pomegranate is masterfully light and well balanced, the oolong superb. This tea is unlike any other in my cabinet and never fails to impress.

Very good and flavorful. The pomegranate flavor is a little sour but it couples nicely with the nutty taste of the oolong. The mesh sachets are very nice.

Picked this up at a B&N bookstore the other day. A nice tea! smooth pomegranate flavor, not harsh or overpowering.

Pomegranate flavor pairs surprisingly well with the slightly smoky, vegetal Tikuanyin oolong base. The texture is very silky and buttery, and the pomegranate lingers pleasantly on the tongue. The flavoring has a good balance with the tea; I am always gladdened when I find flavored teas that still taste like proper tea.
