I’m sad to see that I’m almost out of this tea. It was what started me on my oolong obsession. I used to get a cup every morning from the now closed Amai tea shop when I worked in Manhattan.
Origin: Lugu, Nantou County, Taiwan
The mountainous Dong Ding region near Taipei is celebrated for its lovely green oolong. Dong Ding can be made very strong, yet it consistently rewards with a mellow smoothness. The aroma suggests lilacs, first thing in the morning.
