From Leafy Green

Sitting between a green and a black tea, traditional oolong is naturally withered by the sun and air, bruised through rolling, and allowed to semi-oxidize before being twisted and rolled into small spheres with purple and green hues prior to a final charcoal roast.

Grown at an elevation of 1500 meters in the ethereal and misty mountains of Taiwan, this blending of Ali Shan terroir and the distinct Jin Xuan cultivar brings out its naturally warm milky aroma and flavor.

Sometimes referred to as milk oolong, this tea is unique in its milky taste. Light, warm caramel and elegant smokiness dance over the palate softly; further accentuating the flavors to give the tea its well-deserved name.

Naturally rich in probiotics, oolong is optimal for a happy belly. Coupled with its caffeine this is the perfect tea to start your day.

Tasting Notes: warm sugar aromas with roasty flavor notes of wood and milk

Received two samples from Leafy Green. This is a very tasty Jin Xuan, fresh and refreshing with notes of cream, kale, and wildflowers. It has a lingering sweetness, and that reminds me a bit of biting into a juicy plant.
