Given to me at work. Paper envelope – bad idea. Tag taped to the bag – really bad idea. The dust in the bag did not seem to expand when brewed. Couldn’t really pick out the green tea in the blend, maybe because it is decaf. The honey dominates, which is odd as it isn’t listed as an ingredient. Didn’t taste lemon. There was an odd mint taste. Not sure if it supposed to be there or if the envelope had been stored with a mint tea. I would drink this again if someone offered it to me but I wouldn’t buy a box. Wasn’t horrible, just very ordinary.

Recently, I’ve been experimenting with different teas to build up a small variety of low cost daily drinkers. Green tea is one that I tend to like alone or as the base to a cold brew.

While this isn’t a favorite of mine, it is a reasonably priced tea that does not require sweetener or cream to make it acceptable.

The tea’s flavor is subtle. Lipton suggests a 2 minute brew, but I found that short of a brew made for a weak tea where the only flavors I could pick up was the green tea, itself. At a longer, 5 minute, brew I was able to taste the lemon and to a lesser degree the honey (I almost didn’t pick up on the honey).

This is one that I would drink, but, also, one I’d easily replace with a green tea that I enjoy more. Overall I consider this to be a neutral tea, swaying me in neither direction. In a pinch, lacking other options of green tea, I would not hesitate to buy it.

Herbal and Decaf TTB.

This is pretty mediocre. Low quality decaf green tea, a hint of lemon, and slightly chemical honey flavoring. It tastes okay, but not something I would buy. Definitely not as good as Celestial Seasonings’ Decaf Sleepytime Lemon Jasmine Green.

My grandma got me this tea as a Christmas gift. It’s not something I would normally drink, but I’ve had a bad head cold all week, so it was actually quite nice to have a cheap decaf tea that I could sip instead of wasting my good loose leaf tea. I can’t taste much right now, but I did notice the sweetness of honey and a little bit of lemon in this. Mostly, though, it was just the comforting familiarity of a warm cup of tea on a rough day!

Backlog from yesterday; this was one of the teas available at work.

This one isn’t bad. I wouldn’t want a box of it, but it’s a decent lemony tea. The honey comes across as a floral taste and the lemon adds bite to the background.
