From Loose Leaf Spot

Midnight Waltz is a a black tea (orange pekoe grade) high in antioxidants with an intoxicating blueberry flavor.

While dancing at the ball, Cinderella loses track of time until she hears the clock strike midnight and realizes she must leave. The black tea reflects the falling darkness of midnight while the naturally sweet blueberry carries the sweet innocence and pleasure in a waltz danced with a prince.

Ingredients: Black tea (orange pekoe grade) from the Nuwara Eliya, Dimbula, and Uva regions in Sri Lanka, cornflower petals, blackberry leaves, natural flavors.

Preparation:

Hot tea: Use boiling water. If you want to gauge the temperature it should be about 100ºC/212ºF. Use approximately 1 teaspoon per 6-8 ounces. Let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes. Great plain, with sweetener, or milk/cream and sweetener.

Iced tea: Use boiling water (100ºC/212ºF). Use 1 slightly rounded teaspoon per 6-8 ounces. Pour 3-4 ounces of boiling water over the tea and let steep 3-5 minutes. Then pour into an acrylic glass filled with ice. If desired, add sweetener (tip: it is hard to dissolve sweetener in cold water so either add the sweetener to the water just after steeping or try a simple syrup).

About the Tea:

Caffeine: A cup steeped in boiled water for 5 minutes will contain approximately 30-38mg of caffeine.

Antioxidants: Antioxidant content is rated high: 7.50 – 9.99% polyphenols by dry weight.

Storage: for maximum shelf-life (about 2 years), store in an airtight container in a cool dry location (do not refrigerate).

The flavor of blueberry did not crash across my taste buds, like the flavor does when biting into fresh blueberries. Rather, it slid across the tongue, well-blended with the black tea, letting me enjoy the flavor of the Ceylon, too.
