From Lupicia

An attractive black tea with a gentle sweet-tart fresh apricot scent reminiscent of the spring field. The fruity and soft taste is great for iced tea. Pretty marigold petals add to this tea’s appeal.

Sipdown! (21 | 101)

This one is pretty meh IMO. Especially coming from Lupicia, who usually has fairly strong fruity teas.

The flavoring is very mild, especially paired with a black tea base that’s fairly strong. It’s not bitter, but it has a substantial earthy flavor to it that the more delicate apricot doesn’t stand up to well.

So it ends up tasting like an earthy black tea with a little hint of apricot to it. I do really like apricots, I’m reminded now that I have an apricot black tea from Dammann as well, I should really steep some up…

I tried to search apricot tea (in my saved teashops) and well, it is not so easy! One is green tea chai with apricots (https://take-t.fi/products/chai-tea-apricot); second is green-white tea with apricots (https://oxalis.cz/cs/raritni-zelene-caje/tokajska-merunka-70-g-8595218039239-1444.htm/)

A mild black with apricot. Pretty straightforward, matches the description so there’s no surprises here. The black base is a bit smoky and not the best quality, but it’s perfectly serviceable. Apricot is authentic tasting but on the weak side. Pleasant aroma, nice color but nothing particularly outstanding. If you like apricot blacks, Mariage Freres Abricot D’Or has a better quality black tea in a similar flavour profile.

This is very mild. I nearly drank the entire cup without knowing what it tastes like. With the last few sips, I was left thinking that compared to the other Lupicia flavored black teas, this is by far the least flavorful – its still an okay tea but nothing special. If you find the Lupicia flavored teas to be too intense, maybe try this one.

Sipdown (103)

The black base is much more mellowed today which is great cuz I don’t love Lupicia’s black base. The apricot is sweet and accurately portrayed but is also mild making the tea, as a whole, nothing special or overly flavorful. It’s there and it’s satisfying enough for this one cup but once this is gone, it won’t be missed.

It’s ok, not a strong apricot taste but the tea tastes pretty good.
