From LuxBerry Tea

Ever wonder why a cookie is named the way it is? The word “cookie”, which comes from the Dutch word Koekje (meaning small cake), was first used by the Persians in the 7th century. Gingersnap cookies or Christmas cookies are believed to be the descendants of the cookies created by Neolithic farmers 10,000 years ago. They were made up of a grain/water paste and were cooked on hot stones. Well, we’re not too sure about grain cookies baked on hot stones, but we are sure about this yummy combination of rooibos, fruits, and nuts that will transport you back to gramma’s kitchen and the warm aroma of freshly baked ginger snap cookies!

Ingredients: Rooibos, candied pineapple bits (pineapple, sugar), candied mango bits (mango, sugar), candied papaya (papaya, sugar), roasted almonds, coconut chips (coconut, coconut fat, sugar), flavor, walnut bits, peanut bits, hazelnut bits.

Mmm, this smells like a cookie. It has lovely baked goods notes, and lots of sweetness on the nose, which carries through to the flavour.

Sweet, nutty, lightly spiced and rich. This doesn’t have any distinct ginger flavour, but it does remind me of those really thin ginger snap cookies with the scalloped edges. Very desserty.
