I just tasted it with a gaiwan and it is delicious. The first flush exhaled an delicate smell and made me eager to try it. I expected a heavier taste due to the lengthy oxidation however, it renders sweet, round and soothing for the spirit.
‘Dragon Down’ comes from the high mountains of Hunan Province. It is an oolong that has undergone fairly lengthy oxidation, and is composed of young, downy shoots that give off a marvellous flavour of sweet chestnuts. Highly original.
