Alphakitty! Thank you SO MUCH!!!

This smells like EG, Lavender, and Rose. I can see those ingredients as well. It infuses to a mellower-medium brown color.

The flavor is comforting, creamy, slightly Earl Grey – more Bergamot than the stereotypical astringency I usually taste in a EG, plus, floral…mostly lavender and a touch of rose.

My favorite traits of this tea…the citrus and the creamy. Very nice!

After a few moments at room temp this one tastes even better a little warmer than luke-warm! YUM!

This is one of my favorite EGs. Glad you liked it too!

This has been a crazy weekend of running errands. Thankfully in the midst of the chaos (mostly of stuff that I didn’t want to do), I included a quick trip to Seattle to visit Market Spice. Being in Pike’s Place Market, the place was packed! I went down my long list of teas to try and was sad to see that they didn’t carry a lot of the ones listed on their site. This shop is small and limited on space, so if you visit, just know that they don’t carry all the teas on their website. I just wish the site included a list of teas that are in stock at their shop (and steeping instructions)!

This was one that the clerk recommended so I purchased 1oz. to try. I’m already a big fan of Earl Grey but never had one that included lavender and rose. The lavender isn’t overwhelming and actually pairs well with the bergamot. The rose is a subtle background flavor but I’m surprised that I can taste it at all against the bergamot and lavender. This tea is delicious and I really regret not buying more of this!

Thanks Yssah for this sample. I brewed a pot of this when I came home early from class today. It smells like a flowery (especially the lavender) EG – very lovely. The bergamot comes through in smell mostly as I do not notice must of the bergamot astringency in the brewed product. A milder EG nice for an early afternoon pick me up.

Back after a long hiatus! I’m currently drinking my favorite earl grey blend which includes lavender and rose hip. The bergamot is fragrant but not overwhelming in taste. It is balanced well with the lavender and rose which makes you feel like the princess/prince that you are!

Backlog:

I like this twist on the classic Earl Grey – the black bergamot flavored tea has been enhanced with the additions of lavender and rose. It’s nice. The bergamot is a bit softer than most traditional Earl Grey teas I’ve encountered, kind of like the softer bergamot notes you might experience from an Earl Grey creme but without the vanilla notes.

Normally I do prefer a stronger bergamot presence but I like that it’s softer here because it’s allowing me to experience the lavender and rose. Sweet, delicate, feminine – I like the balance between citrus fruit and florals.

A really pleasant blend.
