Not astringent, pairs well with dark chocolate. Added cinnamon chips in the second infusion…yummy:)

As ceylons go, this tea is on the light side, probably because it is whole leaf. There is a bit of spicy earthiness to it — sort of like what you find in pu’erh, but much milder than that. Seems like there’s just a breath of muscatel in this too. A lot of nuance to this one.

Ah, apricots. They go with so many things. Today, it was French toast. While reading part two of the quest to destroy the Dark Lord’s evil jewelry. This tea smells really good. I get a scent of cocoa, with hints of honey. The flavour is more honey, and generally mildly sweet.

(Have two cups with adventure stories.)

Literally burst out laughing. I feel like I will need to refer to LOTR as “The quest to destroy the Dark Lord’s evil jewelry” from now on.

This was a very pleasant every day cup of tea. It has a settle honey taste but is not bold which I prefer. This has less tannic acid which I also prefer, less bitterness. I steep 1 tsp with boiling water for 5 minutes, there is no bitterness and has a nice honey aroma like much of the Indian teas have. If you like Indian black teas I recommend this.
