From Perennial Tea Room

epal is a growing force in the boutique tea industry, focusing on equitable and sustainable agricultural processes. This specific tea was grown by a Mr. Rai, using leaves from his own small acreage and from his neighbors, in the foothills of the Himalayas.

Nepal has a very similar terroir to Darjeeling, and this tea has just a hint of that distinctive crisp quality. This tea alternates between a fascinating light woodiness reminiscent of a fruit tree—not the fruit itself—and a salty minerality, like the scent of an ocean stone. There are gentle notes of florals hidden deep in this intriguing tea.
