I can’t believe that the overall score for this tea (67 at the time of this review) is so low.
This tea was a gift to me (along with a couple of others) from a regular customer where I work.
I’ve had “chocolate” teas in the past and have felt mostly disappointed with the flavour. However, with this one, it was love at first sip. The chocolate flavour is front and centre and actually tastes like delicious sweet chocolate. The chai flavour isn’t very chai. It’s super light but there is a delicate whisper of it in the background, if your tastebuds really search for it. Overall, I am happy with this. First and foremost, this is a very chocolate-centric tea with the slightest hint of chai. Not spicy at all but instead, smooth, light and chocolatey. I thoroughly enjoyed my mug!

This tea is inexpensive and yummy. It doesn’t really taste like what you would expect a tea called Chocolatey Chai to taste like but it’s still good. There is a definite chocolate smell but when you taste it it’s more of a sweet taste than chocolate.

I purchased this tea as a caffeine free substitute for PC’s Chocolatey Mint black tea. Alone, this tea does not have a great taste. I flavour it with Silk French Vanilla soy for coffee to make a cheap chai tea imitation and it tastes great. I prefer the black tea a bit more though.

Surprisingly, I liked this. I do like Chai generally so I`ve been on the lookout for an caffeine-free version. Generally, this is the only chicory blend of tea that I`ve tried and liked. I add milk or condensed milk when brewing it. I can see why it would polarise people, but I work in an office where a lot of people also love this tea.

Incredients: Roasted chicory root, spices, carob pod, natural flavour, cocoa shells, ginger, licorice root, stevia leaves, cocoa.

Lovely! It doesn’t taste quite like chai, presumably because there are no tea leaves. But it’s a very tasty blend of sweet, chocolate and spice.

This was my go-to tea when I lived in St. Pierre! A mellow taste with a bit of spice, and a wonderful chocolatey scent. I kept the steep time short – I found that the taste got murky the longer you steeped it.

I actually really liked this tea – probably because the chai flavor was not too strong. I did not add milk, although I can see where some people will like it that way.

I thought this smelled rich and full, like chocolate jumble cookies. There was a nice balance to it, even though it had a bit of Celestial Seasonings Roastaroama to it

I thought this tea was delicious. Honestly, I’m not a heavy tea drinker, but I found this one amazing. It has just enough spices, just a hint of chocolate, and I don’t need to add anything in it, although I DID add a little bit of sugar to give it a little extra taste. I love the smell, When the water is nice and hot, it really does smell chocolatey, even though it doesn’t taste that much. Although my friend was right when she said that i’d get a bit annoyed of the taste after a while. But I definitely recommend this tea to people who like some taste. :)

Oh I have to admit, unlike everyone who’s rated this, I love, LOVE this tea! Mind you they might have changed the recipe since (the box looks different now). Both me and my coworker loved the scent! It was very comforting and it satisfied my chocolate craving. The taste has a subtle cocoa taste but the chai is dominant. I drink my chai without milk as it reminds me of coffee and I really like the spices (maybe I should try it with milk). For the price and a generic brand, I’m very pleased.
