From Rare Tea Company

Winner of a prestigious gold star in the UK 2008 Great Taste Awards.

This is a yellow gold Tai Guan Yin from Fujian. Rare Tea’s oolong has been specially selected for its truly extraordinary flavour. Crafted to an exact point at which the leaves reveal their hidden subtleties it has rich floral aromas leading to a perfectly balanced mineral finish.

The second infusion is richer and even more complex than the first. The tea can be infused several times to reveal incredible subtleties of flavour.

This is a SPECTACULAR Oolong. The liquor is a beautiful golden color.

The flavor is smooth and rich and sweet. fruity and floral. Loving it and looking forward to many more infusions to follow.

This may be almost (if not just) as good as my beloved Ali Shan from Norbu!

Another sampler and another tea that has been awarded for good taste.

Leaves smell like really fresh grass. Nice dark green color.

Tea is dark yellow and smells really nice.
It’s very good. Gotta wait a bit to define it cuz i had sheep cheese for dinner and it’s kinda still there on my taste buds.

Well to me it tastes similar to Dragon Well. But bit better. Easier to drink. This is best oolong I’ve had so far. The oolong tastes starts then it ends with that dragon well taste. Awesome combo.

Oh idk I just like it…

I did 3 steeps – just as good. Its a multi-steep tea ;)

Special thanks to LiberTEAS for this tea sample! :)

This is good.

It smells more vegetal than it tastes but the taste is even and pleasant. It has a bit of a celery-like finish and aftertaste. I’m thinking i could get multiple infusions but I have SO MUCH new tea to try that I think I will move on. I do have enough for another cup after this so I might try it again down the road.

Oolong is a breathtaking tea. The taste is so unique. The tea itself is in between black and green tea in the oxidation process. I have had the recent pleasure of trying this particular Oolong and I must say its unreal. Its perfect. It has a sweet vegetal flavor. Drinking a cup of this fantastic tea will have you feeling very satisfied. Great job Rare Tea Company. Thank you for believing in quality over quantity. Thats what we believe at Pure Matcha as well.
