From Rishi Tea

The most tender green tealeaves and silvery down-covered buds are hand rolled into small pearls and naturally scented with the essence of fresh jasmine blossoms. The fragrant blossoms are mixed with our reserve Dragon Pearl (Long Xu) several times until it becomes infused with the sweet flavor and heady aroma of real jasmine. More than 20 pounds of fresh jasmine flowers are used to scent each pound of dried Dragon Pearl green tea.

Water: 180°F / Leaves: 1 teaspoon per 8 ounces / Infusion Time: 3–4 minutes / Ingredients: Organic green tea and Organic jasmine flowers. / Origin: Fujian, China.

This is my favorite tea of all teas! Gentle but robust. Smooth and mellow. This is the tea I recommend to all non-Green tea drinkers as the inherent sweetness makes it a delight to drink! Plus, I have the added benefit of supporting a local company. :)

A very pleasant tea for a summer evening. The flavor is delicate and the aroma reminds me of moonlit nights in a garden. I usually let it steep for up to five minutes.

I like it. It’s much better than bagged jasmine green tea- well obviously ;) but I drink this pretty regularly it’s one of my daily teas. It’s light and refreshing with a bit of honey.. Ahhh yummy __

Rishi was the first ‘real’ tea company I was introduced to. I’ve kept this tea stocked in my tea cupboard consistently for five years, and I return to it to measure other teas, to measure my own palate.
This time, the Jasmine seems unbalanced. I taste the sweet gentleness of the green tea first, and then an astringent, pungent Jasmine taste after. There isn’t a connection between the sweetness and the astringency – the flavor just jumps from the first to the second without warning. Surely, this can’t be how it’s always tasted, right?

Fragrant, floral tea. My very first infusion turned out bitter because I oversteeped it. I have learned that you need not wait for the leaves to completely unfurl to know that it’s ready. I enjoy it till about the 4th infusion — just when it totally unfurls.

A touch too perfumey for my taste although the green tea at its base is of very good quality.

We exclusively carry Rishi teas at the coffee shop I work at and Jasmine Pearl is at the top of my list!

I began drinking this tea LONG before I started working at the shop and developed a bit of an addiction—even after trying other teas, I always come back to Jasmine.

Such a beautiful, floral scent and flavor; drinking this tea is like tasting a spring meadow. But be warned: over-steeping results in a barely drinkable, extremely bitter cup of tea.

Solid but unspectacular. Decent value compared to other jasmine teas. Makes excellent refreshing thirst-quenching iced tea with just enough floral aroma and flavor without overwhelming. Good with honey as a throat-soother.

Pearls are nice and dense and they go a long way. I find that all I need to do is grab a small handful of pearls and I can get many cups out of them so it goes a long way.
