Thank you Cavocorax for sending this my way. Another fine sample from RiverTea that she was kind enough to share with me. This isn’t one that i would have picked up myself if only because ive been a little tired of mint lately. However, this is a pretty interesting tea if you’re into that whole mint thing. What i like is that the addition of the orange makes it not the same as other mint teas. is this a tea for me? no…but for mint fans, i would recommend this since it’s got a smooth finish to it and it’s not overbearing. the orange helping to offset the mint a bit without making it a strange cup of tea. thanks cavo!

Backlog: So, it figures I’m the only one to rate this one and I was sorta distracted while I drank it. I remember it was spearmint and orange, as was promised in the description, and that I liked it.

Not much else though. Sorry. That’s the hazards of drinking tea at work I suppose.

I’ll pass the rest to Sil and you can see what she thinks!

Stole another cup of this before packaging it up for a swap. The green is more prominent in this cup, but I still get a hint of orange and spearmint.

Marco Polo TTB

I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this, I almost decided not to try it because of the orange and I could not smell the spearmint when it was dry. I cold brewed it and as soon as I added the water I could smell the spearmint. The orange somehow made it brighter without being bitter.

Backlog from this morning.

I added a few more chunks of orange into the leaf than I’ve done in the past, and it did have a nice citrusy bite to it. The mint is good – flavourful, but not too zingy. Just a nice, unfussy mint tea, although I could do with a Moroccan blend in my cupboard.
