From RiverTea

This centuries old blend comes to you from the low plateaus of Yunnan Province in China where teas are grown year round, nourished by its gentle monsoon climate. This world famous Puerh tea is well known for its weight loss benefits. Puerh is often referred to as the “red tea” because it has vibrant red color when brewed. The flavor has a slightly sweet, earthy trait and releases a sharp, pungent aroma into the air. This high quality “Magic Will” Pu-erh tea is sure to win you over with its nourishing value that helps you feel good from the inside out!

lost my tasting note on this one, but it was another sample from the lovely cavocorax. I’m actually glad to have the chance to try the puerh straight from RiverTea. It’s not a bad little puerh. Earthy and musty, but not overly harsh. A pretty decent average puerh. Having this straight will help with the couple of flavoured puerhs i’ve picked up form River Tea to try :) thanks cavo!

I thought it was pretty average too. Good in that it didn’t taste like just earth, but not super memorable. Glad I just grabbed a sample!

So I just drank Mandala’s Special Dark yesterday, so today may have been a bad time to try this. It just tastes like puerh. Good puerh. Maybe even great. But it’s not blow-my-mind with your earthiness and super rich chocolate notes.

It’s earth. It’s dark. It doesn’t taste like dirt. I could drink a fair bit of this, but I think I’ll pass the rest to Sil!

Another tea from Cavo to Sil to me! I’m not sure who Magic Will is, maybe part of Magic Mike’s Male Stripper Review? ;)
I wasn’t really expecting much, to be honest, but this turned out to be a decent little Shu. I brewed it long & proud, lol, & ended up with a very satisfying cup of earthiness, with no objectionable qualities whatsoever. As it cooled, it took on a creamy cocoa quality, which I really enjoyed. I was sipping & practicing my harp for a wedding I’m playing tomorrow at the Missouri Botanical Garden. It’s suppose to be a beautiful day, & this wedding is in my favorite part of the garden, the Chinese Friendship garden. It’s enclosed by a wall, there is a little stream winding through the center, a couple of little bridges, a pagoda, several weeping willows, & if I had time to go hang out at the garden more, that would be my place. Here’s a link:

This is a sipdown, of course! Thanks for the sample, girls!

It’s so lovely there, & in the heat of summer, it is shaded & comfortable :)
