I stole a sample of this out of Cavocorax’s tin because it smelled so good and it is good but a little on the sweet side. I am picking up on carrot mostly which is alright because I like carrots but I certainly would have never guessed this was a lime tea. Thank you Cavo!!

no moar sipdowns! i had this one as a cold brew, ending my cupboard today at 139 (+4 on the way = 143) which means to meet ONE of my goals, i need 48 more sipdowns between now and the end of the month OR i have 12 more teas from January to get through, which is so not going to happen based on the quantity there haha i like playing drinking tea games with myself. I’ll see what i can do to get to the end of my goal, but unless work slows down a little, i’m not sure i see it happening. But i always try :)

this one is best cold brewed IMO. i don’t get the “carrot” flavour that VariaTEA did, but it’s almost not quite so close to being lime but not. :) it is great for hot summer days though, and that’s what WILL matter in august/september at this rate heh.

Backlog from last night.

Since I bought an iced tea pitcher about a month ago from David’s Tea, I am now in a MUST HAVE ALL THE ICED TEAS mood. This seemed like it would be a perfect fit when I ordered it from RiverTea. I could smell the lime scent even when the box was still full of packing peanuts!

However, this tea didn’t taste like it had any lime in it at all when I brewed it. I tasted a citrus sweetness from the rosehip and the lemongrass, but oddly enough I also tasted vanilla. It reminded me of a different RiverTea flavour in fact, Infinite Good Feeling. No lime at all – which is a real disappointment. However, the dry mix itself doesn’t appear to contain any limes – all of the dried citrus wedges I see are orangish rather than green. Does lime turn a different colour when it dehydrates?

I’m going to try brewing it up a different method next. This time I used hot water and steeped it for about 10 minutes at double strength, then topped it up with ice cubes. Next I’ll see how it tastes when coldbrewed for a day. I hope it will be more limy then.

This is interesting and has a lot of flavor. It brewed up bright red from the beet root. There’s no hibiscus in it. Oh, and there were ginormous chunks of fruit in it. It looked like the pictures on websites – like 1 inch chunks of citrus. I bet it would be amazing iced.
