Ingredients: Tea (Camelia Sinensis), Rosehips, Hibiscus, Safflower, Natural Essences

Story, Folklore, History…

Strawberries have grown wild for millennia in temperate regions throughout the world. They were highly prized by many ancient Romans for their sweetness. In the Middle Ages, they were prized again, more so for their medicinal qualities than delicious flavour. Today, the strawberry is the most popular type of berry fruit in the world. There are more than 600 varieties of strawberries that differ in flavor, size and texture.

I don’t have a lot of time for a lengthy review right now and will revisit…but first thoughts on this was puckery and slightly sour type strawberry but then it smooths out a little. It’s alright but a little shocking at first. Ends ok, tho…will revisit very soon!

Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this tea.

This is yummy. There is a bit more hibiscus in this than I would like there to be, but, it still works, because the tartness from the hibiscus really compliments the strawberry tones well. It also gives it a pretty red color!

Sipdown! (71 | 345)

This one was just okay.

I don’t really get a lot of strawberry, mostly I taste a haylike and very musty white tea accented by some hibiscus and rosehip. I think the hibiscus, even though it’s fairly subtle, is just overpowering whatever strawberry flavoring was used.

It’s inoffensive but not something I want to drink more of. I have another unopened pouch that was sent by mistake, so I guess I’ll set it aside in my rehoming box.
