My mom’s Pronouncement of Wisdom regarding unexpected food cravings was always, “the body knows what it needs.” After a tumble down half a flight of stairs this week (guardian angels on duty; nothing broken!) the body was craving chamomile in copious quantities. Go figure.
I had plenty of bulk looseleaf on hand, but we had to do an elder care run to Kansas, so I grabbed an inexpensive box of this Kroger private-label brand to drink at the hotel. Since our last stay, they pulled the one-cup Keurigs out of each room (no great loss, they ruined whatever you heated). So the only hot water option was a “one size fits all” coffee/water dispenser in the lobby.
Even with that working against it, this little teabag performed as advertised. Lemon and chamomile both detectible. Looking forward to a cup this evening with real water.
After doing a little further reading, my ankle likely wanted me to soak in chamomile instead of drinking it.
I hope you felt well enough to do some fun shopping on your trip! Take care! (We have soaked Sam the King of Dogs feet in cooled chamomile before when his paws were inflamed due to allergies that caused him to lick them incessantly. It worked a treat and obliterated redness fast.)
D indulged me with a stop at a fantastic used bookstore (my kryptonite) and I may have spent too much time at the 10 for $10 shelf…
AliasHali would have would been in hog heaven!
On deck: “The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek.”
