This tea is an exciting and intoxicating handcrafted blend of all organic Masala Chai spices with our organic Green Rooibos tea.
The organic and fair trade Green Rooibos we use in this blend hails from the Cederberg Mountains of South Africa. Unlike traditional red Rooibos, Green Rooibos is steamed and is not fermented and oxidized. This unoxidized version of rooibos boasts a superior antioxidant profile and contains more than twice the flavonoids as the oxidized red rooibos tea and 10 times the antioxidants aspalathin and nothofagin.
The unique earthy and fresh flavor profile of Green Rooibos lends itself well to our handcrafted blend of organic Masala Chai spices. Every herb and spice we use is organic and this blend has been meticulously crafted to create a rich and aromatic brew. This chai features an artisinal blend of whole cloves, chopped pieces of true sweet cinnamon sticks (Cinnamomum verum), dried long pepper, hulled cardamom, whole star anise pods, licorice root, roasted chicory root, coarse ground black pepper, and dried ginger root powder.
This all organic Green Rooibos Chai blend is sure to awaken the senses and arouse the mind (while being totally caffeine free)!
