Sharp, minty and a bit fruity. Quite a different fusion. I feel creative after drinking it just because of the creativity that went into it. Needs a really long steep to get all the flavour.

This is just not my day for sampling teas. This is minty and somewhat fruity, but I don’t like the way the flavors interact. It’s just kind of weird. It seems I don’t like many of Stash’s fruit flavored herbals.

I’ve never had it. I’d like to try it someday. I mean how often do you run across a fruit that cool looking, and with such an awesome name.

I know right! Have you ever had a rambutan?? Now that’s a weird looking fruit but the inside is sooooooo good!

After my initial sips, I was completely reminded of jelly beans. I don’t know why but that is what this tasted like. However, when I came across the page and saw “fruit punch” listed as a flavor, I can see why someone would pick up on that as well. What I am not getting is mint or ginger, two ingredients listed in this blend. Also, no change in mood. Still, it was fun to try so thank you Roswell Strange for the share :)

Thank you Cameron B. for the sample! This one totally sounded intriguing, even with the inclusion of ginger in it – which seems like an odd pairing with dragon fruit to me, personally.

Steeped up I think I can smell the dragon fruit a bit more than I can taste it, though it is present in the taste. I’d kinda describe the flavour as slightly dragon fruit flavoured Fruit Punch, but a little watered down. It also has an earthy rawness to it. Maybe that’s the damaina leaf? I have no clue what damaina leaf is supposed to taste like (anyone know?) but apparently it “enhances sexuality”.

I can’t really say I’m feeling more sexual as I drink it? But then again I’m not super sexual to begin with…

I’ll be sending you a bag of it VariaTEA though I’ll leave it to your discretion whether you want to disclose whether this one gets you going ;)

I can’t help it, I laughed.

I have no idea how you’re supposed to be able to tell whether tea is making you feel more sexual or not. Uhh… does it make you want to hold hands with it? Then it’s probably working.

Continuing my re-tasting of these chanakara teas that I bought a year or more ago. Luckily there were a couple of boxes that were still wrapped in cellophane, and the flavor seems to be very present so far. When I wanted a caffeine-free tea to sip on, I went for this one. I’m not terribly familiar with dragonfruit itself. I’ve seen them for sale before, but I’ve never actually tasted one. The dry tea bag smells very gingery… uh oh. I steeped for 5 minutes in boiling water.

The brewed aroma is fruity and quite tart from the hibiscus. I can definitely pick up on a kick of ginger. Because of the smell, I added a teaspoon of sugar before I even tasted this tea. I am actually pleasantly surprised by it considering the number of ingredients in it that I don’t generally enjoy (ginger, hibiscus, licorice). Most of the flavor is a lovely fruitiness that is accented but not overpowered by the hibiscus. The fruit definitely reminds me of other “exotic” fruits, such as mango and papaya. I taste the ginger and peppermint only at the end of the sip, and even then they’re quite mild and play nicely off of the fruit.

Overall, I’m quite impressed with the fruit flavor in here, and the restraint on the hibiscus! This would make a super delicious iced tea, too. I might have to order more of this one, and perhaps the loose leaf version this time around!
