I have been craving a cup of matcha since I watched that teashow.tv episode, but knowing that I really don’t like the taste of the only matcha I can get my hands on, I had a look around for different ways of drinking it. Of course the answer lies in adding two of my favourite things: Milk and honey (not Frank Sinatra and Christmas, I’m not that insane). Whisking warm milk and matcha together with a spoonful of honey made for a delightfully creamy, less grassy, sweet and comforting cup. It definitely gave me the kick I needed to make it through the rest of today in one piece.

I’m trying to find some matcha tea here in New Zealand, would you recommend this one (I can buy it in person) or that I order some? I’d probably mainly make matcha lattes :-)

I’m rating this so highly because I’m a coffee person more than a tea person – and a creamy, bitter dose of caffeine to me is delectable. This is the only matcha I’ve had so I have no basis of comparison, but it’s bitter and grassy in the best way possible. Add a little brown sugar and cold milk and you have my new favourite iced drink!
