From T2

Black tea with sweet fruits, rose, sunflower and hibiscus, with a touch of bergamot to finish.

Earl Grey gets a French twist which is oh-so-fruity. A medium-bodied black tea base with pretty petals and notes of fruit that play with classic bergamot in an inspiring, bold and refined infusion.

• Sweet fruits, rose, sunflower and hibiscus, with a touch of bergamot to finish and leave you feeling a little fancy.
• This tea is sealed fresh inside a compostable plastic bag packed into a colourful recyclable cardboard box. Store in a cool, dry place.
• Sip as an afternoon tea pick-me-up or perfect as your morning tea ritual, this flavoured tea hit is perfect as a hot tea or a relaxing iced tea.
• Brew for 2-3 minutes using freshly boiled water. Best drunk without milk due to the delicate floral flavours and light black tea base. A little slice of lemon will add a zesty finish and complement the heady, floral aroma.
• From fruits to spices, tea leaves to herb bushes, 100% of our tea is sustainably sourced.

Ingredients: Black tea, hibiscus, natural and artificial bergamot flavouring (2%), rose petals, sunflower petals, natural and artificial flavouring, mallow flowers

This is my favourite Earl Grey at the moment, but be warned, it’s quite fruity. Medium bodied, it’s a good tasty cuppa.

I love this tea! The fresh fruit and floral flavours work so well with the traditional earl grey mix. I find it refreshing and a really great balance of flavours.

I was very apprehensive about this portion of the flavored black tea sampler. Try as I might, I have never really found an Earl Grey that thrilled me, and most of them I find completely unappealing. However, much to my delight, I actually enjoyed this one! The bergamot was balanced by florals (namely hibiscus and rose) and it was quite lovely!

At long last an Early Grey that’s here to stay! (Well, in my cupboard, at least!)

Relatively strong for a floral tea. It mutes the floral notes to an extent, but I don’t mind that too much. It’s predominantly apricot and bergamot that I taste, and it makes for a good combination.
This was a sample which I may consider buying once I finish all the variants of Earl Grey that live in my house.
It’s been a few days since I actually drank this sample and I still think about it, which is probably a good indication.

To celebrate T2 opening up their London store I thought it was about time for another tea review, and one of my favourites in the whole T2 collection.

Although the classic Early Grey bergamot is definitely there, for me it’s the hibiscus that comes through and what makes it so delicious. It gives the tea the floral and fruity hit that makes it a more gentle early grey than others. Sometimes I can find bergamot too overpowering so for me, this one is balanced just perfectly.

I have this with milk and find it light enough to be a perfect afternoon tea. Its refreshing and more-ish and it’s become my most ordered tea from T2 so far.

I give this tea a relatively low rating but I must emphasize that this is a nice tea itself. It smells and tastes of sweet peach, not sure whether it is attributable to the flavouring (or the flowers? I am not much of a botanist). It has a delicate floral note too, whereas the tea flavour is not so prominent. The problem is that it is being marketed as an Earl Grey, which I think is a big mistake. It tastes nothing like Earl Grey because the classic ingredient, bergamot, is missing here. I can imagine many Earl Grey lovers being sorely disappointed after tasting a sip – as in my own case!! :(

This is one of my favourite teas. While the black tea base gets a little lost amongst the rest of the flavours, it’s still a staple in my tea library. There are definite notes of peach, rose and hibiscus in this tea, and it has a wonderful floral aroma.

However, I can certainly say that this tea isn’t for everyone, while it’s lovely – its sweetness can be a little overpowering and can detract from the full-bodied flavour. It’s lovely black, or with honey, I find that it doesn’t suit milk very well. I adore this tea.
