Gambled on this find at the Asian market. This goes by many names: Princess Sakura Tea on a sticker on the front of the bag, Premium Hime Sakura Green Tea on the import sticker on the back, and [Sencha with cherry blossom leaves] Sakurahime on TaFu Tea’s website.

The harvest year of this tea is unknown but it shows no age at all. It’s thick and viscous. Rounded and sweetly vegetal. It’s not a deep green taste but more like the sweetest, youngest cabbage you’ve ever had which is buoyant in expression when combined with the florality of the sakura leaves. A beautiful tea that I’m so excited paid off!
