From Tazo

You don’t have to take up residency in a monastery to benefit from our rejuvenating green tea blend infused with crisp notes of spearmint, lemongrass, and lemon verbena. But we highly recommend trekking to a mountaintop sanctuary at least once—the views are breathtaking.

This was my favorite tea for years. Every morning I would sip on this and it would make things right in the world. Tazo recently changed their packaging of this product…it looks sweet! However, after brewing a bag in the new packages I discovered that not only has Tazo replaced the packaging but it changed the blend. Too much lemongrass…it’s nasty! I hope Tazo changes back soon…

My staple tea bag. I bring it with me so that I always have tea around.

For a commercially sold, bagged tea I really like this. The lemongrass and spearmint are balanced very nicely. I always have some of this around the house.

I don’t typically like straight green tea(I’m really more of a black tea person), so Tazo’s Zen is a really great green blend for me. There’s not much of a green tea taste, you get a lot more lemongrass and spearmint. I like mine with a teaspoon of creamed honey and some coconut milk, really good. I would love to find something similar loose leaf if anyone has any suggestions?

I like the green/spearmint/lemongrass combination; this is a good tea in sachets or full-leaf but tends to be weak in bags.

I enjoy this tea quite a bit. It is always a quick grab in the summer. I tend to ignore it a bit throughout the winter as it truly cools me down with all of the mint flavor. If you don’t like mint, definitely move on from this tea. However, if you are like me and need a nice, cool tea to beat the heat, then this is a perfect try.

So cheerful and soothing, it makes me happy when I make it at work. Tastes best for me when it’s quite hot, it gets less enjoyable as it cools.

It’s better without sugar. I love the spearmint, it’s not as prominent as other teas. It doesn’t taste that much like other green teas I’ve tasted, which isn’t necessarily a good or bad thing.

Zen… I guess one of the Tazo teas that will get a higher rating. This was an ok green tea with lemongrass in it. It was somewhat soothing, but nowhere near the soothing that I usually like. I might try it again if I go to starbucks… but I am not entirely sure. Maybe it deserves a second chance.

A nice blend of several different flavors. I let this tea steep for about 3 or 4 minutes and upon first sip found that the mint flavor dominates with hints of lemongrass in the background. Notes of green tea finish off the taste. A calm, relaxing cup. Not something I’d reach for often, but I’d bet it’d be nice to sip on during a cold.
