From Tea.o.graphy

Inspired by New Mexico’s offical state cookie – the biscochito – this tea evokes norteño cuisine & holiday spirit.

Simple yet distinct, these anise seed & cinnamon flavored, shortbread cookies are deeply engrained in the culture & history of New Mexico. Recipes have been handed down from abuelas generation after generation & have adorned Christmas tabletop spreads since the 1st Spanish colony in 1598.

As distinctively spicey as the cookie itself – this blend is created with a fine, stoneground matcha, cinnamon, anise & whole cane sugar. A delightful holiday cup, whisked together with hot water & for a smoother flavor, with whole milk!

{organic matcha tea + organic anise seed + organic cassia cinnamon + organic whole, unrefined cane sugar}

All tea.o.graphy blends are carefully handcrafted with a special focus on organic & fair trade ingredients…

with love,

from Taos, New Mexico.

On a trip to Santa Fe I ran into some tea from this company and decided to place an online order for samples, excited to try a new company.
I followed the instructions of whisking it in just under boiling water and adding it to milk. It’s really good. The mixture of anise seed and cinnamon in milk is SO biscotti like and creamy. There is a little bit of soft herbal grit that are at the bottom the cup, remnants of the spices. I could see ordering more of this.
