Please be patient with me…new to writing tasting notes.
This is a regret of purchase.
All that comes to mind is harsh, bitter, astringent.
The label says to steep 176-194degrees for 4-5 minutes,
But it was getting rather darked so I stopped at 3 minutes.
Honey did not help, but I think if I had let it steep longer
It would have been undrinkable.
Another day I will try this as an Iced Tea and add another note.

I had this while on vacation. I am deeply against bagged tea, but I needed some sort of “tea fix”. After this, I wish I would’ve just done without. This was very dry, dusty, and bitter. The packaging says to steep for five minutes, and that would be a very large mistake. I steeped at three minutes, and it had already gone south. This not something I’d be into.

A familiar mistake. I have made that one in several supermarkets when tempted by tea labelled as ‘fine’ or ‘high quality’. Invariably I am disappointed. At least when travelling we know what to expect, even if we never actually learn the lesson. There’s always that tiny sliver of hope that this time will be different!

hahahah some would call that insanity ;)

That is a very good point. I’ll stick to being insane, thank you. :D

I will continue to have hope that it will be different every time xP

This bagged offering came to me from CelebriTEA. I took her advice and only steeped this for 3 minutes at 180 F. Without additions this was pretty lifeless. I added Splenda and now I taste woodsy with cinnamon notes and light floral muscatel. Of course there is a lot of side tongue tingle. I don’t like milk in my black tea but I think that is what this is demanding. It isn’t the most horrible tea I’ve had by far but my thought is you can do better. I have no problem with bagged and I am a big fan of cheap bargain finds. My favorite cheap bagged Darjeeling is Mother Parker’s. This Tea of Life offering behaves more like a cheap aggressive Assam. This is the first time I have clicked the not recommended button. CelebriTEA called this a regret purchase. I’ve had more than a few of those myself.

Two thumbs down .. Yikes.
