This world famous Castleton Moonlight from 2013 Second Flush season represents one of the best white tea offerings. This is another one of those Darjeelings whose appearance alone satisfies the senses. You can look forward to a lovely, elegant twisted spider legs of many different colors. The superior cup suggests of sweet treats, chocolate and a touch of liquor. This is the ideal white tea for an elegant afternoon/evening with friends.

Located in the south Kurseong sub district, the Castleton tea estate in Darjeeling was established by Dr. Charles Graham in 1885. The tea crops cover 170 hectares while the elevation ranges from 915 to 1830 meters. This estate is famous for its unique Black, White and Green teas that are infused with a rose like fragrance and have a distinctive unique muscatel flavour. Castleton Estate was the first tea estate to receive the ISO 9002 certification for producing some of the best Darjeeling Teas every year.

An enjoyable white tea. Notes of cucumber and flowers. A bit sweet and juicy. I steeped this for about 4 minutes and it was pretty bland when hot, but a very nice fullness to the flavour developed as the cup cooled.
