Cold Brew…
I picked this up in Winnipeg over the summer but am just now trying it; it feels a bit like the wrong time of year but it’s been so hot that I needed something to cold brew and this finally just spoke to me. The dry leaf smelled amazing, very sweet and powerful lemon notes accented by a lighter floral lavender.
Now that it’s been strained, this is pretty good but the lavender has come out in full force. I’d say you get equal parts of very floral and borderline perfume-y lavender mixed with a tangy, sweet lemonade note. The finish is sour and tart though, so I feel like the idea of calling this a “sour” is accurate. I think I like it? I do think I’d like it better if there was half as much lavender though…
