From Teaopia

This multi-purpose herb can be used as a spice, as an additive for certain oils or in the form of an infusion. Due to the ingredient menthol that is present in Peppermint, it is thought of as an herb that may help with sore throat, stomach ache, nausea, vomiting, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, stress and colic in babies to name a few. The minty, clean and refreshing flavour of our cut leaf Peppermint makes it ideal for drinking either hot or cold and is a perfect way to start or end any day.

Loose leaf peppermint fresh from the store is so much better than yucky bagged peppermint not-so-fresh from the supermarket. I drink Teaopia’s peppermint when I want a warm drink but have reached my caffeine quota for the day.

This is my favourite tea, even with all the flavours out there. It’s very calming. Add some extra leaves when you’re sick and watch your sinuses clear & allow your throat to be soothed. Fantastic!

Mixed it with green tea and some honey. It was good for my sick stomach :)

This tea really gives you a bang for your buck! It’s already cheap, and 50 grams fills a whole bag because it’s so light!
This is powerful stuff, and a bit too strong for me to enjoy on it’s own. However, make it into a latte with some vanilla syrup and it’s amazing. (This is the “candycane latte” that was on the Christmas menu at Teaopia, but they always have vanilla syrup so it can be made year round.)

What stands out to me the most for this herbal infusion, is the price. For what you pay, you get a top notch cup of peppermint. The longest infusion (which is what I do for almost all of my tea) I’d do with this is 10 minutes. It gives it an eye-watering, warm, and powerful taste. I can also add that the tea is good iced when you add honey to it.
