Starting in middle of 20th century, Gin Shan is one kind of special varieties of Camellia Sinesis (tea plant) developed through research about 40 years at the Taiwan Tea Agricultural Research center.

In doing so, even though the history of Gin Shan is not so long but now you can find Gin Shan tea not just milky aroma but also fruity and flowery flavor notes in the market.

Gin Shan’s dry tea leaf is hemispherical, dark green color and slightly pekoe color and in the tea soup, you can see the color is in honey yellow, shiny and limpid. In addition to elegant milky, Gin Shan’s favor is also with the existence of a sweet honey aroma. However, back entrance of Gan weaker is Gin Shan Tea kind of general weakness and bitter tea taste is more obvious than other kinds of teas. In the other hand, some people believe those unique elements together are how Gin Shan attract to them.
