From Tearunners

This delicious offering is a perfect accompaniment to the fall season, oozing with sweet and salty caramel goodness and savory pumpkin.

The smooth amber hued liquor has a satisfying roundness in its mouthfeel, while the addition of marigold petals brighten its finish.

Try it on its own or with warm milk to make it extra rich.

Ingredients: Black tea, marigold petals and pumpkin and salty caramal flavorings.

picked up more of this in the tea runner sale and i’m glad. Something about it just makes me happy..it’s just a blend that works for me even if it’s not super pumpkin and is more caramel

Iced Latte Sipdown (204)

This was much better iced than hot. Also better with added caramel syrup. Was it special? No. I’d probably take pumpkin chai for pumpkin/caramel over this but it hit the spot well enough as an iced latte when I wanted a tasty treat.

Another tea from this month’s Tea Runners subscription box!

I’ll be honest in admitting I don’t really get the pumpkin in this blend but I will say that I also really enjoyed it. It has that particular kind of ‘sweet brown’ taste that is so hard to nail down any more clearly than that, but’s it’s really delicious and works well with the hint of salt and the deeper more molasses-like flavours as well. I guess the “brown” in sweet brown in like this weird merger or amalgamation of brown sugar, caramel, maple, golden syrup, and cake!? Like, if you took a sliver of all of those things and then blended them ‘em into one ’super brown’ delicious taste.

The other thing I really appreciated about this tea was that it was simple/straight forward in that taste direction and that a lot of the maltier and full bodied black tea comes through distinctly too.

Next time I steep it I might add milk and I definitely want to spend a bit more effort “looking” for the pumpkin but surface level and snap impression is that I enjoyed this more than expected!

I like the “super brown” profile description! (Which, I think, is one of my fall favorites.)

I wonder if this is the Simpson & Vail blend…

@tea-sipper, I was thinking that too. It looks like yes based on the ingredients and photo.

It’s time to put away the Birkenstocks and fire up the full spectrum lamp! FALL IN PENNSYLVANIA IS UPON US.

How am I celebrating my favorite season? Pumpkin spice, baby. Did you think I would rise above being basic? Fool. I am an ELDER. MILLENNIAL.

This is a mix that leans in hard on caramel. There’s not a whole lot of salty, and only a dash of pumpkin. No, this is mostly a soothing, sweet, creamy mix that tastes like candy and rich black tea.

If you haven’t hit the Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks yet, this is a lovely alternative.
