Weird… I just uploaded this to my website today!! Synchronistic thought processes scare me!

This is so nice and smooth! I usually turn away from drinking many black teas because I usually find the flavor combination of floral and spicy to be a bit too much for my palate.

The cool thing about this tea, which might give me the desire to try other blacks, is that it has another flavor profile that helps to smooth out the over all taste. I really starting to notice this great nutty flavor coming from the tea as it began to cool down. The nuttiness brings both the floral and the spicy completely into check rounds out all of the pointer edges of this tea. I think i like this one best iced.

While it remains hot this is still pleasant and I can drink it comfortably with no milk or sugar. The spice and floral flavors do play nice together even if they can be strong. They are never “put down that cup” strong, but as a fan of oolongs and greens some times I feel black tea flavors are just a bit strong in general. So the fact I didn’t feel the need to put anything in this tea says something.

More tea, less steep time. Still a little thin.

Enjoying this mixed with some Citron Sonata…needed some girth (questionable word choice) to start out a rainy Monday

Just got off work and must have put a tad too much water in the press. It’s not got markings for various cups,it’s either full or empty.3rd shift is brutal if you’re not used to it.I’m gonna sleep and try this one again later.

I had a sample of this and it was fantastic. One of the best black teas I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend trying it.

Aw man, last years harvest was soooooo much better. . . though this is still pretty good. What was once a galaxy of rich and complex flavors has been reduced to a veritable white dwarf, a shadow of its former glory.

The nebulous bouquet that was once prevalent throughout the entire cup is retained in merely the aftertaste of this new batch.

No wonder is this an award winning tea.The bouquet is mysteriously captivating,a cross between earth and sky, the colorhue that changes from an autumn preripe persimmon yellow to a coppery red/brown maple leaf hue.Taste is slightly earthy without the dust or twinge of anything dry or alum. You cant seem to overbrew this tea with negative results. Each brew takes you farther within the mystery, a warming walk secure and complex, anxiously awaiting each new vista.

My favorite… Always smooth and flavorful, never bitter or tannic no matter how long it’s steeped. And it is certified organic. Expensive for me for an everyday tea, but Teas Etc. has regular discount sales if you sign up for their email. I’d never identified the " sweet potato" nuances among the rich fruity and caramel flavors.. now I’m looking for it, thanks to others reviews.

On sale this weekend, 30% off. I’m stocking up!

This smells of a very honey sweetness.

It tastes like that charcoalish burnt flavor of black tea, but pleasantly so. Not too heavy like some can be. It is very red and round on the back of the throat and under the tongue. The finish is faintly bitter and a mix of the red and black flavors, depending on where in the mouth you focus.

Over all, a very pleasant tea.

One of the first things I noticed when I opened this tea was an aroma similar to pipe tobacco. Some of that aroma is still present in the steeped tea, but not as clear as from the leaves. I am a fan of this tea, and I am usually not big on straight black teas. However, this has a lot of complexity in flavor with the slight tobacco and almost an apricot / stone fruit flavor. Carrying all those other flavors is a solid black tea. Well balanced and worth trying.
