This is the same tea from our Xiaguan 8653 Iron Cake tasting set.
This is the best version we have found so far of Xiaguan’s flagship 2005 production of the 8653 recipe: the iron-pressed January batch, with a thick paper wrapper and using traditional fonts. With excellent Taiwan natural storage, this is our recommendation for a reference Xiaguan 8653 iron cake which is still reasonably priced. Robust, sweet, and with the classic Xiaguan smokiness, this tea has ample strength and concentration to take it far in aging.
