From TeaSource

This green tea has a dark green leaf, well-formed with a slight twist. It produces a cup that is soft and shimmering, exceedingly fresh, slightly sweet, very aromatic, and wonderfully refreshing. This is an exceptional tea.

I enjoyed this. I should say, that by and large I’m not a fan of green teas. I’ve ordered a bunch, thinking my tastes in tea might have been refined a bit after a year of drinking fine loose leaf teas. I do like Hojicha, but that’s an atypical green tea, being roasted. I hated the Sencha and Dragonwell I’d tried, which I thought tasted like water in which spinach had been boiled. This particular Clouds and Mist, there is a slightly grassy note, but it’s subtle. It’s a light, refreshing tea, if one perhaps with a little less character than I’d like. My aunt did like this one far more than the Anhui Yellow Flower we had yesterday. For that matter, so do I. (And having now tried the other Green Teas in our order this beat Pi Lo Chun, a Darjeeling Green and Chun Mee.)

the taste of spring. prominent steamed artichoke taste with freshly mowed grass — it would be a bit intimidating for the average american to just jump into if they’re used to store-brand green tea. but it is clearly a high-end green tea, and if you can handle tasting “greenness” in your “green tea” then don’t be shy — it’s the real deal, a true gourmet green tea. even a slightly salty taste of the sea in the end note. for my own breakfast i prefer my high grade dragonwell, but i can fully appreciate why this tea is special. so there you go.

Its a pretty mediocre green tea. I’m ranking this slightly higher than I did with the Dragonwell I tried from Tea Source mostly because Dragonwell is suppose to denote a quality, and I felt that it “failed” worse.

And its not to say that this tea failed, it just tastes slightly stale to me. Like a green-tea you’d get from your local cafe where everyone only orders coffee (and the barista has forgotten there was any tea at all).

It reminds me a lot of gunpowder green tea, which probably isn’t a good thing. Faint chestnut aroma that really just reminds me of over-cooked bok choy or some other stemy leaf green.
