From TeaSource

This famous tea from Jiangsu province has a larger downier, more open leaf than typical, with a wonderful sweet aroma. Steps up soft, sweet, slightly crisp, with a marvelous silky quality.

Nice vegetal and floral taste in the initial infusions that is not overpowering. The delicate taste also transforms into a nice sweetness in the later infusions. Very delicate buds that brews into a nice liquour, and has a nice mouthfeel.

I brewed this sample of Pi Lo Chun using a gaiwan.

I don’t know much about green teas yet so this is a bit of a learning experience. This is very rich and smooth. A vegetal flavor but not overpowering.

We really enjoyed this tea—about the only Green tea out of four we ordered we can say that about. This one was mild, without a vegetal or grassy or brothy taste which I find hard to enjoy. This is definitely one we’d order again.
