A friend gave us this tea to try and I’m so glad she did. I am really disappointed to learn it was discontinued. I have looked many places trying to find a replacement, but have failed so far.
I think the black and rooibos teas balance each other out especially when combined with the coconut, almonds and vanilla. Sweet, smooth and mellow. I really enjoy this tea.

I’m curious to know whether the past reviews of this tea were based on Teavana’s old Thai blend or the new Thai blend. The last time I bought Thai from Teavana, in spring 2010, it was still simple, straightforward Thai tea: strong black tea with traditional Thai flavors.

The last time I stopped by Teavana for a refill was in early January. To my horror, the Thai tea I knew and loved has turned into a ghastly over-perfumed mix that they call their “interpretation of the popular Thai iced tea blend.” To be fair, this blend might taste quite nice iced, and I will try it this summer. For now, I bemoan the departure from what I deem “true” Thai tea into this over-flavoured mix of assam, rooibos, star anise, almonds, and “a bevy of” Thai spices.

I feel like Teavana hijacked my Thai tea. :( Now I have to find it elsewhere!

I enjoy this tea quite a bit. The flavors are a swirling combination that stand well on their own. I also like it with a tad bit of milk but the sugar seems a bit much to me. That surprises me, actually. I love sugar but am finding myself adding less and less to teas the longer I drink them.

Very good. Seems to be lacking just a bit of depth.

Can’t go wrong with coconut milk and far too much sugar.

Teavana’s Thai blend has a huge flavor, a compelling aroma and a wonderful texture. The coconut taste is what I expected, and it’s robust. The vanilla and almond add a savory sweetness. The combination of red and black produces a velvety cup and it’s a full bodied cup. I give this one a perfect score because it has a wild, exotic flavor. I went through it very, very fast. The second time I bought 8 ounces and served it at a party and non-tea drinkers said wow. I especially enjoy “anytime” tea blends and this one is nice at breakfast, lunch, afternoon, dinner, and after-dinner. It’s not too sweet on its own to be a dessert tea. But if you add sweetener it can be one. I drink this blend “neat” every time but it’s probably great with milk or cream.

This tea is awful. Don’t waste your money! It has very little taste and just as little aroma. I have tried steeping it with milk and other fresh spices, nothing can fix it.

I don’t really taste any vanilla or coconut in my tea. Kinda tastes like a mild herbal tea to me. Not bad, but realy not much flavor.

Brewed this once so far, and I wasn’t impressed, as it turned out rather flat. It did improve as it cooled. Next time I will use more tea, I think, and maybe add a bit of sugar.
