From Teavana

This chocolatier-inspired infusion combines the distinct tastes of sweet and salty. Buttery caramel, decadent chocolate, a hint of cream and a light sprinkling of sea salt satisfies any craving.

A lusciously creamy, nutty blend of caramel & chocolate with a hint of sea salt.

Use 1.5-2 tsp of tea per 8oz of water. Heat water to just at boiling (208 degrees/98 degrees Celsius) and steep for 5-6 minutes. For stronger flavor, use more teas leaves. 2oz of tea equals 25-30 teaspoons.

Ingredients: Cocoa kernels, carob pieces, chocolate flakes (sugar, cocoa mass, cocoa powder), coconut chips, liquorice root, anise seeds, artificial flavoring, marigold petals, red bell pepper, sea salt

CONTAINS COCONUT AND MILK

I very much enjoy this tea. I got it with the dessert sampler from TeaVana and I like it even though I do not really like coconut.

Well I have to say, they have actually succeeded in making a tea that actually tastes like caramel. I’m really having trouble believing it. Hot and cold, Cococaramel Sea Salt is one of the most amazing teas I have ever tasted. Thank God it’s an herbal tea or else I’d be awake for the next 5 days.

Salt and caramel are a classic combo, since caramel is super sweet by itself. And it works that way here too in my beautiful cup of tea. This tea also has a wonderful addition of cocoa/carob and nuts. It’s perfection in a cup I can’t describe it any better. It’s smooth and will satisfy your sweet tooth better than any other desert tea out there.

This is where it’s at. I will definitely be going back to get more. Hello new favorite Teavana tea.

Okay, so I don’t love going to Teavana for two reasons… 1) you need to buy at least 50g of tea minimum, when sometimes you just want a sample size. 2) their sampling tea has too much rock sugar which really changes the flavor of the tea. That being said I had to buy this tea. The dry leaves smell Amazing! You can smell the chocolate and nuts. It tastes a bit like Forever Nuts with chocolate. I just had it black, but next time I will add some milk. Yummy!

I just stumbled upon a Teavana location this afternoon, completely unaware of their existence! Of course I had to go in and explore. I walked out with two teas, this being one of them.

The cup I just made is lovely! I used the tea timer on their app – 5 minutes exactly – and it worked wonders. The coconut taste hit me first, with the salted caramel coming through after. The overall taste is subtle, but not too hard to find.

I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place!

I was disappointed the first time I had this by itself. I usually blend it with Caramel Almond Amaretti (it’s fabulous as a blend), but by itself…err? It didn’t taste like anything. It smells a lot better than it tastes, but I’ll give it another shot.
