From Teavana

This energizing blend has a chocolate undertone and rich chai flavor that you will love. It is a mix of MateVana mate tea and our Rooibos Chai. The MateVana contains several xanthines (including caffeine) which give you an energy boost without the jitteriness of coffee. And the energy tends to last longer than the caffeine boost from coffee.

This stimulating blend is also a hunger suppressant and full of vitamins and minerals.

This tea contains nuts.

How to Prepare
Use 1.5 teaspoons of tea per 8oz of water. Heat water to boiling (208 degrees) and steep for 5-6 minutes. Four ounces of tea equals 50-60 teaspoons.

Ingredients:
Red rooibos, roasted mate leaves, ginger, cinnamon, vanilla, lemongrass, cardamom, chocolate pieces, almond bits, cactus blossoms, cornflower petals, and sunflower petals. This tea contains nuts. Now lactose-free!

Thanks LiberTEAs!
This is pretty good! I used double the amount and can taste the chocolate more as it cools a bit. It’s also a bit nutty and a little chai-spicy but not overly so. Fairly good, indeed!

I received an ample amount of this tea from Doulton – thank you very much!

This smells really good. It smells nutty and spicy and cocoa-y and toasty and even a little earthy.

I had hoped for more chocolate flavor, and a little more spice, but this is pretty good.

Thank you Doulton for a huge serving of this tea! This is my first official tea from Teavana. I have been eyeing their white chai for a long time. This chai wasn’t spciy enough for me. I prefer the spices and tea separate for chais, because I think the spices need a longer time to brew to bring them out. Plus, fresh ginger in chai is essential! Aside from that, this chai was just ok, nothing stands out from it. The chocolate is nice, but very quiet.

Now that I’m at home for the week, I don’t have my coffee maker, and have been getting major headaches from caffine withdrawl. Good thing I have this tea!

It came out perfect. with a splash of milk, and tiny bit of splenda, this is really a great coffee substitute. There’s a reason this was my introduction to the world of loose teas ;) though the taste of the tea is great, without the sugar it feels just a little too watery, and maybe that’s just because the coffee-lover in me is expecting more body from a taste like this.

I do just love the chocolate matevana taste mixed with the rooibos chai. It’s got a kick with the chai and such a sweet flavor from the mate. Teavana wins with this mix, for sure.

It’s a very finicky tea, but worth it. I usually put in a little extra and sweeten it slightly.

This is one of my favorite teas from Teavana that I tried for the first time this summer. Unfortunately my water heater in my dorm room can’t quite handle getting a constant 208 degree temperature when heating the water, so sometimes it ends up scalded a bit. For those making this tea, I highly suggest you keep your eye on the temperature.

I’m not really a fan of chai, but this one isn’t too bad. I like that the spices in it are light. I couldn’t taste the chocolate or mate in it at all. Prepared with almond milk and stevia.
