From Teavana

This tea evokes childhood summers in the bright blaze of a blueberry patch. The sun streams into green rooibos with sweet fruity aromas, capturing the essence of summer in berries, grapes, black currants and hibiscus flowers.

Rich notes of blueberry, raisins, and black currants.

Use 1.5-2 tsp of tea per 8oz of water. Heat water to just at boiling (208 degrees/ 98 degrees Celsius) and steep for 5-6 minutes. For stronger flavor, use more tea leaves.

Ingredients: Green rooibos, black chokeberries, raisins, black currants, rose hip peels, beetroot pieces, hibiscus flowers, blueberries, artificial flavoring

Tried this in store with the pineapple kona pop. This tastes like fruit juice. I like blueberries, but there were a lot of extra flavours. Maybe I would like it better iced, with less sugar.

Lariel of Lórien

It was sorta hard to tell over the pineapple, but I did kinda like this one. Wish I could have tried just this.

This tea is okay by itself but is much better when used to enhance the flavor of other iced teas

I had to go to the urgent care clinic today because of stabbing pains in my arm joints, and was tentatively diagnosed with carpal tunnel (I type very very fast for a living so yeah, I can see that). The doc gave me drugs, but I remembered hearing somewhere the rooibos had anti-inflammatory properties. Now, I have not been a rooibos fan but I figured if it helped my arms become less borked, that was a good thing. So I toddled off to Teavana and made the clerk bring out all the rooibos, and I selected four to purchase. This was one of them.

I was pleasantly surprised by this tea. It smelled lovely, but wasn’t very flavorful until I added a spoonful of sugar to my mug. The sugar really brought out the other flavors. I can see myself drinking this.

The lack of caffeine will take harder to get used to. Ugh, crashing right now without my nightly cup of oolong…

I like to combine this with strawberry lemonade (which I’m sure the Teavana folks tried to get you to do), but then you won’t get all the rooibos you’ve been wanting. Blueberry Bliss is also quite good iced (with rock sugar). Also, I find that I can steep this one forever… the more the better!

Christina

I remembered after posting my comment that you dislike strawberries! So you wouldn’t want to blend it with strawberry lemonade. :)

Debbie

Haha. I don’t mind strawberry flavor as much as fresh strawberries. I’m odd, I know!

With Weight-to-Go! this morning. A super fruity concoction, even keeping the sugar as low as reasonable. I’m really enjoying this – it’s a fantastic wake-up tea. Quite complex, and each sip is giving me a different mix of the fruit flavors. I think I’d like to do the same thing, but with a dash of Earl Grey? Hmm. Next time.

Received this in a traveling tea box (not Steepster’s). I love rooibos, I love blueberries, sounded like a great mix. Chose it to break in my brand new single-serving french press (I like to give the leaves lots of room – only put the plunger halfway down to pour).

Smooth, refreshing, sweet but not too much. The green rooibos is not as earthy as the red. I will be trying this iced as well!!

I was in the mood for something fruity, but not too fruity. I’m hoping that this is the right blend for tonight. I haven’t drunk this blend too often, but I remember it as being reasonably acceptable.

With 5 drops of vanilla stevia (I know, but I crave sweets) this becomes a sort of grown up koolaid. It’s fruity, but the rooibos gives it a more sophisticated flavor. It’s not a blend where the rooibos stands out, but it definitely adds to the flavor. If you get this, consider using a bag to brew it. The rooibos goes through a lot infusers.

I had this iced today, it was one of the teas they had for the National Iced Tea day promotion. I’ve had this before, it has been in the sample pots on the counter at our store for awhile now. The samples generally have so much sugar in them that they no longer resemble tea and that was no different today. I was able to get my to-go cup without sugar, I was actually shocked that I was asked how I wanted it prepared. My previous experiences have been that they just load it up with as much German rock sugar as possible and I leave the store with something that resembles Kool-aid. They also didn’t make it seem like I was putting them out by asking for a cup to go, although no one in the store seemed to know about the promotion going on.

I understand now why they put so much sugar into this blend, without it it is mouth puckeringly tart from the hibiscus with just a hint of blueberry. After a few sips I decided this was probably best mixed with something else so I poured it into what was left of my Rishi China Breakfast tea that I had left the house with [it was roughly 14oz of each mixed]. It still has an overwhelmingly tartness from the hibiscus, but the black tea helps cut that a little.

I wish Teavana would cut back on the hibiscus in their blends, I would probably like them a lot more. Sadly, this is another Teavana tea that just isn’t for me.

I also wanted to mention that I had the most pleasant trip to Teavana to date. It was the first time I left the store and didn’t want to strangle someone. I’m thinking that our store has had a complete staff change, I didn’t recognize a single face when I went in this time and they were training 5 new people. Perhaps Starbucks is listening to all of the complaints, I know I’ve sent a few emails to them about this particular location.

Smelling of blueberries instantly and wheat, this tea was fantastic! It reminded me of blueberry flavoured mini wheats cereal (of all things). At first sip, you get a big fat, juicy hit of blueberry and currant flavours with nice subtle notes of hay, pine and wheat from the green rooibos! Overall a pleasant tea. It is also absolutely delicious iced with a bit of added sweetness! The berries just pop right out!

Ok I can taste the blueberry flavor….but it isn’t as tart as I thought it would be. I can’t even taste the green Rooibos. But I must say it is helping me get through this afternoon (that is dragggging).

I thoroughly enjoyed this tea. I bought it totally “on the fly” which is something I rarely do with tea and was pleasantly surprised at the rich, fruity taste. I now drink with iced with some of their German rock sugar.

Adding this to Earl Grey or Earl Grey La Creme gives them a unique and delish twist.

Ezzirah

OHHHHH, I am going to have to try that! It sounds delish!
