I need to start drinking some of the stuff I got from Teavana… evidently I never logged this one.

The best thing about this tea is the beautiful dark red fuschia color – it also smells pretty nice as well. It’s very fruity, pretty much impossible to tell there’s any green tea in here. It also gets quite tart, I assume due to the hibiscus. I tried this over ice and then it became a bit more like fruit punch. I might have preferred it better when it was hot. You could get a similar effect from getting the Red zinger by Celestial Seasonings and combining that with some green tea. I did get a second steep out of it and that was a little less tart but still very pink.

It was horrible but I can’t say that I loved it either…. the tartness did upset my stomach a bit unfortunately. I still have some left if anyone wants to try it. :)

FOR SURE a tea to be made ICED! I think this one does MUCH better ICED!!!

I cold brewed it last night and sipped on it much of the evening. It’s more than just Raspberry, too! There are other tropical flavors in there but the flavors DO stomp over the green tea base.

After tasting this one cold…I probably wouldn’t try it hot again.

Thank you to Autumn Hearth for this!

On opening the tin, there’s a sort of tart scent that I don’t immediately associate with raspberries, but there’s a big dried raspberry sitting on the top. Cool.

I put the filter in my cup (I’m doing little cups because I have SO MUCH TEA to try!) and pour water over; it immediately turns bright red as it passes through the tea.

Unfortunately, hibiscus is listed as the first ingredient, and it shows. It’s okay, I mean. But it’s not really raspberry, just sort of a generic hibiscus fruity blend. This could be a tisane for all the tea I taste in here. I’ll definitely drink the tin, but it’s not something I want to spend my money on.

I guess I should have asked where you stand on hibiscus before I sent this and the Sakura. This and the Nine Dragon are retired so no money spending ;)

Oh also I apologize for not putting temps and times on the packets. We keep this one at a minute for 175, so perhaps for next time?

I’m okay with hibiscus, I’m just not a huge fan of it. But sometimes, that’s what I want! :) I just went by Teavana’s general steeping parameters. My kettle only does 180 and 212, so I’ll let it cool off a bit the next time I try it.

I first tried it hot, but, decided it should be iced (besides, it’s way too hot right now for hot tea), and it really is good iced. Not my favorite from Teavana, but certainly very tasty. The hibiscus is a bit strong for my liking, but the flavor of the hibiscus tapers when it’s chilled. The raspberry is tart and sweet, and the sweetness of from the raisins and pineapple is very nice.

Very nice, thank you Wifey_Woman for sending this one to me! I appreciate it!

Tart tea central! Don’t get me wrong…I like it, but it sure is tart. I think this one would be best iced and mixed up with perhaps Teavana’s Wild Orange Blossom tea…will have to try that out later tonight!

Mixing it sounds like a dream! Keep us posted!

I liked this tea BUT had to use almost 2 tsp/cup to make it strong enough. This tea would be great iced.
